How Adsense is Related to the Blog Content?
Adsense earnings (cost per click) is mostly depended upon the content of the blog. Have you heard about top paying keywords? Maybe, because all bloggers searching for adsense tips will stuck on articles describing about this phrase.
From My Experience
I have blogs having different topics, although mextena.com is giving me a higher cost per click – Maybe because I spend a lot of time in this blog for its activeness and SEO (Kidding! I had never spend more time on promotion)
I have read some blogs describing some topics which has given a better earnings from adsense. I asked about this to my brother Simjo Sunny. He said that topic will matter the adsense earnings. For him, Technology topics like laptop reviews, pc tips etc. was the most money making topics. So he concluded that content (topic)is totally related to adsense earnings.
Here is a data showing you the average CPC of the content we have tested yet:
1. Blogging tips – $0.20
2. Forex trade – $0.60
3. Mobile Tips – $0.30
4. Make Money Online – $0.10
5. Laptop Reviews – $1.00
6. PC Tips – $0.60
7. Health Tips – $0.40
8. Software Downloads – $0.05
9. PHP Scripts/ Templates – $0.10
10. Entertainment – $0.20
The above data is just made from the experience and a little guess work
Anyway, i have heard certain blogs posts telling content/topic of a blog is noway related to the adsense earnings. They says that blog pagerank, relevant ads etc. just matters the adsense earnings. I am also with them. because as i said earlier, mextena.com has given me more pay per click as i spend more time for promoting this blog.
So according to me (I don’t know what is according to you), Here are some factors that effects your adsense earnings even though it carries any type of content.
1. More pagerank – More earnings
2. Relevant ads will give you more ad clicks and earnings
3. Exclude basic ads from your blog using ‘competitors’ option in the ‘adsense setup’
4. Try getting high paying content related ads using section targeting
5. Ad clicks from different locations will give you different earnings
Conclusion
” Whatever topic your blog deals with, optimize your blog to the maximum to get better earnings from adsense “
New to trying ad space on my design blog. If I am to use it, am I allowed to block out certain topics(ie… other web designers, other graphic designers)
