Blog Widget for Live Visitor Stats – Feedjit

Submitted by Jijo Sunny on September 10, 2009 – 8:22 pm5 Comments

feedjit live statsFeedjit has become a craze for most of the bloggers as it is an easy to use blog widget. Moreover feedjit provides you more information about the visitor activities such as Arrival, Departure, Search engine arrivals etc.

As it is a simple stat widget, it just contain only last 50 visitor updates of your blog. Feedjit has also an ability to avoid appearing stats for each pageviews. I think that this plugin is useful for bloggers, especially newbies who are straight away looking for each and every happenings of the blog.

My experience

According to me, the main purpose of this widget is to know the recent search engine visits and the keyword they used for finding my blog. I usually use Feedjit & Statpress(Wordpress plugin) for analyzing my blog traffic

Although feedjit works well for me, I found a problem with it’s widget size as it looks like a bigger widget, we can only edit it’s size to an extend. Thus, it will use a big part of our blog sidebar space. Moreover Google hates some live updating javascript widgets like Feedjit, Twitter updates etc.

Although there are many defects for Feedjit, I am still using it in my blog. You can see it at the bottom of my blog layout.

So my advice is to use feedjit if you are in need of analyzing your blog stats lively.
