Submitted by Jijo Sunny on September 15, 2009 – 12:27 am2 Comments

google_custom_search_moneyMy experience made me to write article for my beloved readers to know the importance of Google custom search to make more money with adsense. Actually we all think that there is no importance in adding Google custom search If there is an integrated Search box already in your blog. Moreover Blogger/Wordpress themes are well integrated with a Search box which makes your work easier. Thus we are not aware about the Google Custom search which will provide  good site search with an amazing earnings(CPC & eCPm).

My Experience

I started focusing on Google Custom search when I saw it on another blog. I was sure that it will make wonder in my blogs which is getting more Search Conducts.

Thus I told the matter to my bro Simjo Sunny and as per my request he changed the usual site search of his blog (Nupsout -Tips & Tricks) to a google Custom site search using adsense.

an average of 150 search Conducts was going on with Nupsout daily (We found it from adsense stats) and we got 7 clicks on the first day itself. Th earnings was amazing as we got an average of $1.50 while we were getting almost $0.20 – $0.50 per click for common ad units. The change in our adsense earnings from the first day of adding custom search made us to use it for ever with his blog. I’m planning to insert custom search for mextena too, although I will only decide it after several days because of the problems due to this wordpress theme.

How to Create a Google Adsense Custom Search

For creating custom search using your Google adsense account, login to your adsense account Create a new search ad unit. After giving the asked information for creating a site search, They will ask you to add certain channel (keywords). Here you must add some relevant and short keywords matching your usual search queries. Now finish of the designing of the ad blending to your blog theme. Everything is fine Now! You’ll get a Some Javascript Codes which you have to put in certain places (I’m not much aware about it as my brother did this for me)

Your Custom Search is Now ready and Here the Magic Starts!

How to Make More Money with Google Adsense Custom Search

While a reader conduct a search in your blog using custom search, the relevant ads will appear on the top of the search results which will make readers to pass their eyes through the ads. So if the ads are relevant according to the search query (Most probably it is), There is a lot of chance to get more ad clicks.

Google is attempting to show the relevant & Top paying ads in search results. Thus each ad clicks from search will gain you more than an ad click from usual ad units. Even though the Niche of your blog is worthless, I am sure that you will make big bucks with this trick.

Although using Custom search will improve your earnings, make sure your blog is utilizing the High paying adsense keywords.

I am very happy to be with Google Custom search for using in blogs/websites. So I recommend all of my readers to use it for a better earnings. Good Luck!
