How to Make Money Asking for Donations

Submitted by Jijo Sunny on September 26, 2009 – 8:53 pmNo Comment

donationsIn addition to our revenue of Advertisements, Sponsored post etc, you can also make a good income from donations. So you can consider requesting for donations in your blog. However, this is a sensitive issue and you must make sure that the readers take this action in a positive sense.

If you are already making a better income from your advertisements or using any other monetization programs, asking for readers may put off some readers who may find the action to be too greedy. To accept donations, you may need to set up  a paypal account or some other such payment receiving websites.

Ways for Donations

Paypal

Collect donations from a button on your website, or even using a link in an email! PayPal Donations is a low cost way for you to accept credit card and bank account donations. Integrate PayPal Donations with your website in a few easy steps.

ChipIn

ChipIn is a Web-based service that simplifies the process of collecting money from groups of people. We make this process quick, easy, and secure, and we provide organizers with numerous ways to get the word out about their ChipIn event

ScratchBack

ScratchBack is an online ‘tipping’ system (or as we like to call it, a fancy-schmancy tip jar). It allows you, the blogger, to accept tips and ‘give back’ links or images in return on your blog.

Not interested in donations? Then..

Even if you are not interested in asking for donations, you can still use your blog to provide free advertising to your favorite charity and direct your users to donate to that organization.
